As far as car driving is concerned, Japanese car manufacturers cater to both automatic and manual transmission drivers as seen in the entire fleet of models that they unleash in the market once they are ready. While many want the easier to handle automatic models, stick shift cars are a preference by some because they are more gas saving and controllable.

With the rising fuel prices today, it is apparent that people are wary of having to drive cars that consume gasoline beyond their control. Apparently this may be considered a green preference but then again, people should learn to understand why both transmissions were made even before.
